Hi everyone. I just came across an interesting commercial WordPress plugin called FBSubmitter. FBSubmitter claims to offer a new way for website owners to collect email leads. It connects to Facebook behind the scenes to collect user information automatically, thereby eliminating the need for email forms. That may sound like a sneaky marketing technique, but in actuality its not. Their website describes the product as such:
“The most popular way website owners collect email information, is usually by offering up free information in exchange for the visitor’s name and email address. But with FBSubmitter, you still offer up valuable information, but instead of filling out a form, the visitor merely has to click a button that automatically collects their info from Facebook behind the scenes”
So it’s a way to streamline and make the opt-in process quicker and less of a “hassle” for your website visitors. Trust me, anything you can do to make it easier and quicker for people is worth trying and using.
I am thinking of implementing this plugin myself. If you’re curious to find out more about this interesting WordPress plugin hop on over to the FBSubmitter website.
Let me know what you folks think about it if you do decide to use it.
Cheers,
Alan
