It seems the universe is not without a sense of humor. Right after I posted my blog entry about e-gold cracking down on HYIPs, AutoSurf, and Ponzi scams I had the need to make an e-gold payment to ScriptLance (pay for their “featured project” option). Well, here I am logging in and trying to make a payment when to my shock and dismay I get a message saying that my account has been blocked. Woop dee doo! I was obviously jumping for joy at this time.
*Sigh* I guess I have to go through the hassle of notarizing my ID docs and fedex’ing them to Florida. I’d like to know what method they use to figure out which accounts to block because I sure as hell did not run an HYIP, AutoSurf or Ponzi scam nor am I in any way associated with such schemes. Heck, I was the one cheering this latest move from e-gold citing it as a business move of infinite wisdom. Now I guess I am just a legitimate victim of the mad rush by e-gold to placate the US Government. If e-gold refuses to unblock my two accounts I might consider ditching e-gold and moving on.
Now on to finding a notary public I go! To the e-gold mobile! Oh wait, they’ve blocked access to my doors! Nooooo!
