Hello dear affiliate marketers. A while back I wrote a brief review of the affiliate program offered by the popular online retailer – NCIX.com (see this link). Well, it appears things are not going so smoothly for NCIX because I just learned that they intend to shut down their affiliate program. Here is a copy of the e-mail I received from them in regards to this:
For nearly a decade, we’ve been running the NCIX.com Affiliate program, and have had tremendous results with it in the past. However, the nature of the e-commerce has changed dramatically over the last several years, and because of these changing conditions, we have decided that the Affiliate program will be discontinued as of April 30, 2009. We will be processing final affiliate program payments no later than June 1, 2009.
The good news is, we are planning on launching a new ad network program to replace the affiliate program. We will be making a formal announcement with details of this program in the coming weeks, so look for an update soon!
NCIX.com understands the importance of a strong affiliate program and has made the commitment to continue to improve and enrich the new ad network program that helped to make NCIX.com tremendous success. NCIX.com will continue to build on its many current relationships with affiliate partners and will seek to build new relationships moving forward. These relationships will provide broader exposure to consumers that otherwise may not have been reached.
On behalf of everyone at NCIX.com we would like to thank you for your partnership.
Sincerely,
The NCIX.com Affiliate Team

Perhaps it’s best that they decided to shut down the program as I’ve heard from some people that they aren’t paying their affiliates! See this post for details.
